Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Regain Control of Your Life

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that teaches you specific skills to help you better manage important areas of your life.

DBT has been shown to be effective for a variety of psychiatric conditions and mental health problems. The therapy addresses intense emotions, developing healthier relationships, being more present in your life, and changing distressing patterns of behavior.

Free Yourself From Unhelpful Patterns

DBT also focuses on dialectics, or the idea that two opposing ideas may exist at the same time. For example, you may really want to attend therapy to better yourself, and you may also be nervous about going to a therapy session.

We often times can feel confused when two things that feel like opposites are both present.  Understanding these types of dialectics can help you be more flexible in your thinking and can create flexibility in your thinking that may be making you feel stuck in life.
